TCL is composed of 7 levels and evaluated according to technical skills and expertise as demonstrated through company knowledge and impact on business results. Areas of focus include generation of new ideas and new research projects, patents and licenses, publications, and networking with the scientific community. Evaluation also includes the ability to work with a high degree of autonomy, demonstration of behavior competencies, and education and seniority. TCL allows a cross-reference of jobs and enables a consistent career path design and career development in either technical or supervisory/managerial areas. All employees within R&D are eligible to participate in TCL.
